I just got home after being gone for 6 days and my cat keeps avoiding me and meowing, almost in a distressed way. Before I left 6 days ago, I was fighting with my girlfriend, which seemed to stress my cat out as it would periodically vomit. It seems okay now in regards to the vomiting, but she is still meowing and avoiding me. Is my cat pissed off at me or is my cat afraid of me?

Other than that female cats get pissed about everything. litter clean? feeding schedule changed? you smell different? new food? new anything? who knows.

Your puss is angry that you left. Our cat used to do it all the fucking time. My current cat is all love and cuddles as long as I haven't been away for longer than two weeks (he doesn't stay by himself, mind you, he just lives with my parents), if it's longer then no pets for me. She's giving you an attitude because you went away, hoping it teaches you a lesson.
