Anyways, Craigslist isn't a terrible start as long as you're aware that some things are scams. I got my first job in my field from Craigslist, because they were looking for someone without a ton of experience but a willingness to learn.

It depends on the job you're applying for. Are they going to go through the effort of contacting your former employer? If not, maybe fudge it. If you're going for a good job, be honest. You need to speak with contrition to what led to your dismissal, and what you learned from it. Especially why you'll make sure it doesn't happen again.
