I don't know what is really going on but tragic things have happened my dads shop was burned in a fire and insurance didn't do anything, My dad sent an email to the energy supplier telling them that our shop was closed but we continued to get estimated bills even though the shop was closed.

Now we want a final bill from the energy supplier but they keep sending us ridiculous estimates and keep adding money on, my dad refuses to pay because he knows it should not cost that much.

what should he do, are the energy suppliers allowed to change opening meter readings?

I don't even know whats going on really any advice help please.

Its almost been a year since the fire and the building should be repaired soon. Don't know when we can open up again though
