Record yourself talking about anything. Listen to the recording the next day diligently noticing what verbal ticks you have, then try to soften/remove them.

Find something genuinely interesting to you, learn a lot about it, then make connections with that thing, yourself, and people around you/society at large.

Conversations are holistic, sometimes messy, journeys of ideas and engagement (when done right), and stagnant pools of cliches and falsehood (when done wrong).

If all of that fails, get out of your comfort zone doing things you don't normally do, something will eventually happen (even shitty stories about mundane things are still stories).

Listen to story tellers, conversational podcasts, or tabletop game groups that stream/post online. Pay attention to the flow and cadence of ideas, even mediocre conversations are better than "small talk".
