So I'm fixing to graduate with a master's in psychology. I know this sounds strange but what tattoo should I get?
I'm going to move away from my family and change my name on the days following my graduation. I plan on leaving the state, maybe even the country to get away from the toxic people I was raised around. For some background I can say my family has been really hard to live with and were extremely abusive to me as a child.
I'd really appreciate some tattoo inspirations. I was thinking of a pheonix but I'm not so sure. I'm going to spend good money on this shit; any ideas are welcomed. I'm a 24 year old woman

So then you'll have a degree with a different name on it...?

I may just change my middle name since my first and last are common. I have 3 middle names by the way

'fixing to?'
well, as long as youre leaving the south, maybe visit the tattoo places of where you are going first for some inspiration.

Wouldn't you have your full name printed on your degree? Change your name if you want, but do it BEFORE graduation

Name changing is a legal process that involves going to court and paying a processing fee. You can go to the school that issued the degree and give them your official namechange documents, and they should change it for you. Some examples of name-change include marriage, divorce, naturalization, personal preference etc.

Hi OP. If you're getting a tattoo and can't decide, choose something personal to you and possibly place it somewhere it won't be very visible. Working in psych professions usually means that tattoos and piercings are usually accepted. If you wanna get the Phoenix, go for it! Will it be on your back?
