Driving out to the mountains spontaneously on a weekend and camping, renting a boat at the lake and jet skiing for a day while hitting some beaches, road trips where we'd "feel it out" without a huge plan, trying awesome restaurants, getting together as a group and meeting tourist girls on the Strip...

...just a few examples, and of course, there were drinking and partying times too.

But "the group" is a thing of the past. Now we all hang out individually, or maybe with 2-3 of us, and even then, it's not frequent or it's just sitting at a bar.

But some of them have kids, some have girlfriends they need to pay attention to, that kind of thing.

I appreciate the suggestion, but there's not really anything I want to learn like that, and I just want to be more appreciative of slow times. I'm not a huge fan of physical activity outside of going to the gym just to maintain my shape. But that's a chore, like my job.

the problem with vegas is its a party town if your in your 20's, but you're not anymore.

im a bit older than you: so i know stuff, yes friends will come and go but its the ones who stay are the ones who you will keep.

you have to learn to adjust to doing your own thing now that your friends have their own lives (wives, kids, etc) and also make allowances for them. and you will be in their lives too

you may feel bored and antsy because you have adult adhd.

i have friends who time is catching up with:3 have caught cancer. and all three the clocks running down for them. as the saying goes: there some people even superman cant save.
and there s nothing i can do except be there when it happens...

you need to have a project: because all guys love working with their hands. whether it be a car/truck/van/plane/train woodwork or something that takes your fancy because you have idle hands
