There is a very good chance that the fault is not yours, but your teachers'.

Let's say you were taught to do algebra a particular way and, for whatever reason, you didn't get it. And let's say that well-meaning teachers and friends tried to help you by teaching you again.

But almost certainly they taught it the same way it was taught the first time, and if you didn't get it that way once, it is unlikely that you'd get it that way a second time.

By the third or fourth time, your brain feels failure coming and shuts down even before the teaching begins.

What you need is someone or some book that teaches math an entirely different way, one that your brain hasn't built defences against. Just keep looking for that.
