if someone gets rabies,do they become like a dog and try to bite people. Do they become like zombies in zombie films? Or do the doctors give them loadsa tranks to keep they calm while they die.

Not really true, people with rabies do try to bite others. There's some pretty graphic stuff on youtube.
As for OP, not that exciting, they have a stage of a day or so where they're foaming at the mouth trying to bite people and won't accept water, but after that they slip into a coma and pass without further events. They are restrained during the violent period.
