Where the hell do I go for apartments that's not rent.com, Apartment Finder, and the like? That's all that comes up when I google "apartments for rent". But those sites all seem to have the same shit on them.
Is there another resource for finding an apartment?

Drive around, ask around on the local facebook page. For example my town has a popular facebook buying/selling page. If you post on a similar site people would help you out.

Some of the best deals on rental houses and in multiplexes are from small landlords who don't advertise online.
I will add to that and say be white, be clean cut, and have proof of income for 3-4 times what rent is. Small time landlords are legally able to discriminate on whatever they feel like.
