I've been experiencing symptoms that resemble a UTI for about 2 weeks, and I'm likely to be treated in a weeks time. Is it likely to get serious within that time?

Probably not. Just drink a lot of cranberry juice in the meatime. If you start feeling bladder, or especially kidney, pain then it can be a problem.
Get u some apple cider vinegar, Braggs if u can.
Look up how much to drink online

Drink a lot of water. Until you get a urine test/antibiotics all you can do is try to prevent it from spreading to your bladder and kidneys. Do you live in Canada or something? I got in to a doctor within a day of presenting symptoms when I had a UTI.

OP, I'm an American and we don't have healthcare. When I was really poor I had a UTI and couldn't afford to go to the doctor...I drank as much water as possible. After that, the UTI went away on its own. I do not recommend this, but you can try it if you're really worried.

Hey anon. I've had 2 UTI's in the past I hate doctors. I refused to go for a time thinking I could just drink lots of water and cranberry juice, that I'd be fine. Things got worse for me both times. Things got so I bad I ended up urinating blood. My urine was so bloody, it looked like coke! These infections are no joke. If not treated as soon as possible, it's likely your kidneys and bloodstream could become infected. Don't wait. Treat it asap.
