3 years ago i got this rash on my stomach.

I found this picture and this is the ONLY picture that shows exactly what it looked like.

It has come back 3 times since, and i remember my joints hurt and i felt like shit when its reoccurred, but it wasnt nearly as bad as the first time.
to me it sounds like herpes, but the skin doctor took a sample and found no herpes, and nothing dangerous about it.
and it doesnt really look like any type of herpes.
(yes it looks like lots of herpes types, but this picture is the only picture ive found that looks exactly like it)
i have no idea what it is.

Usually at around the 3 month mark after your first outbreak, you should get a blood test for HSV anti bodies
Also based on the location, its probably herpes zoster , aka shingles, which is just a reactivation of chiken pox.
Shingles hurts like fuck though, like deep piercing nerve pain, herpes simplex pain varies, some people feel pain others no pain at all.

I had this exact thing on my ankles. Doctor determined it was severe Contact Derimititis.
Best way to treat the itching is with Cera Ve Eczema cream. For healing and reduction, ask him what he thinks about desoximetasone or Desonate. I got both after 4 months of having my issue and they finally worked. If you have open sores, try putting polysporin on it to keep infection away. Those blisters are just waiting to be infected and it happens within hours not kidding. This shit drove me fuckin crazy clawing away at my skin, hope it works out

It's probably shingles, a viral infection a distant cousin to chicken pox. It lies dormant in your body forever, coming out at random times and random parts of the body. Unsightly and sometimes painful/itchy, but not dangerous unless it's near the eyes.
Google 'shingles' and see if that's it.

Herpes Zoster aka shingles sounds good, looks like it. Try to get some neuralgic pain medication, OTK should be enough because you definitely dont want to get the chronic post zoster neuralgia.
psoriasis is mostly one rash with a clear line, looks different aswell (spongy wax like skin)
an allergic exanthema would have been my second guess, you got any allergies or work exposure?
