Thanks, anon. I do tend to get overwhelmed with everything and just throw my hands into the air and give up.
I'm sort of starting with the showering and music. I'm up to a shower every other day as opposed to once a week, so that's better! Of course my home is still a fucking mess but I'm trying not to be so down on myself.

It sort of sucks. I got out of my spiral of depression, more or less, but I still have a lot of the habits from when I was depressed. They're harder to get rid of. I didn't expect this.

I don't know what "crash-dieting" means, but I don't think dieting is actually a solution. A temporary one, maybe, but it really takes a change in your eating habits, and that takes a change in your perception of food.
When you start getting used to both cooking your meals and knowing what it is that you're eating, you start realizing that some food just fills you up with no nutritional value. I'm talking cheetos.

You eventually devleop a taste for real food rather than MSG, and fried tortillas stop looking like a decent meal.

Also 5 pounds is not much, make them muscle.

When you work to please others or just because "it's what's expected of you" you're following will o' the wisps and you will end up with a void inside you.
People are selfish, they ask of you to become this and that to account for their own shortcomings, it's easier to look at flaws in others than to make the change we need in ourselves.

"Go outside" is pretty fucking vague. Participate in things. Go to hobby classes. Join a club. Put yourself in situations where you'll be forced to interact with people.

True, but baby steps. I make it my goal as is to get the courage to talk to a stranger every day. Even just mundane small talk that lasts 20 seconds and then I never see that person ever again. Build up from there.
It's the quite literal paralysis that plagues me. I'm trying to overcome it but when your fucking mental disease becomes physical it can be difficult. My brain is screaming at my legs to move and my mouth to form words, but they just stay put.

Eh idk, I've always just seen meditation as just hippie bullshit sitting on the floor doing nothing and breathing. Skimmed through most of that, and my opinion still wasn't really swayed.
I feel like it's like a placebo affect. Only works if you have faith in it, and if you don't, no matter what you do it'll always just be sitting on your ass and breathing weird.
