If fired, why? Whatever it was that you did, stop doing it.

If quit, why? Whatever it was that you couldn't stand, grow up and accept the fact that all jobs have things about them you will hate, and it's your responsibility as a grown-up to put up with them.

And remember this - nobody owes you a job. You are of use to them only to the degree that you help them make money. If you don't contribute to that end, or actually get in its way, it would be foolish and irresponsible for them to keep you on.
