Same thing happens to me, you can't say you are being a dense asshole if you only make eye contact with said grill, do you talk to her at all? Do you know who she is?

Something similar is happening to me. Girl sits a few rows in the opposite direction to me and every class we look at each other and make eye contact, I always break out first.
I am not interested in the girl though.

Means nothing.
What feels like eye contact to you could just as easily be her staring blankly off into space and you getting in her way. It looks like she's looking at you when she's looking at nothing.
Repeat after me: "Looking at a girl is NOT having a relationship. You have to actually TALK to her."
