Boyfriend is a picky eater and I'm finding it difficult. We've been in a relationship for 1.5 years and are now living together. He's told me that he hasn't eaten proper dinners or meals for years and it's causing a few issues.
He doesn't like vegetables, salad, potatoes, rice.. it makes having dinners difficult. He's very good at trying new things but he doesn't like them and I've now run out of ideas. He is happy to have toast or a sandwich, whereas I've been bought up in a family that had proper meals together. Are there any other ideas I can try or should I just accept that we might need to eat different meals?
Trouble with eating is that you can form habits so strong your body will be convinced that you honestly don't like something even if you would have if you'd never let yourself avoid it.
Encourage him to keep eating those things he has tried and doesn't like. He needs to eat properly regardless because even if it hasn't been a problem for him so far it will come back and bite him in the ass as he gets older.
Nothing wrong with eating different meals, but you should really get him to at least look for healthier foods.
Move to Aleppo. Soon he will learn to appreciate anything.
If he is so picky that he wont try and accept meals others or hosts have put together for him then let him make food for himself. Its a chore to cook for him so let him feed himself. Its not your job
