Meeting my ex-girlfriend for drinks this weekend after not seeing her for about a year. I didn't tell my current girlfriend to avoid upsetting her.
What should I expect?

>What should I expect?
Your current girlfriend finding out about the situation and expecting the worst.

>What should I expect?
Accomplishing nothing but risking your current relationship for the sake of revisiting a failed one.

>I didn't tell my current girlfriend
this is the bigger problem
Pro tip: Don't do anything you couldn't tell your girlfriend about.
Alternate pro tip: Don't have a girlfriend who will freak out about things so much that you're afraid to bring up things like this with her, assuming you have no ill-intentions.
If you really just want to catch up with your ex as a one time thing, have a mature discussion about it with your girlfriend.
If you're doing this to test the waters with your ex, don't see her.
>I didn't tell my current girlfriend
Go and tell your girlfriend right now about this
if you know its going to be just two people meeting thing then you are fine
If you know its not that kind of way then drop it
the best way to make sure nothing will happen is by getting a cockblock buddy, what is that you ask? I'm glad you did
A cockblock buddy is someone you can trust to make sure that there will be nothing with no one he does that by talking about your current girlfriend, stop things when they get too risky (like going to someones place) you need to keep him with you at all times until the end of the meeting
but first talk to the person of your choice about the subject and update him about everything and in subjects to talk about and what not
that's what I do with my friends and female friends and it works like magic
cancel the meeting or cancel your gf if you are still lusting over your ex

Your girlfriend to break up with you LOL

Depends on what you are expecting off of it and how far you are willing to go.
I you're just willing to stay there and chit chat for a while i dont see the issue, but more than that would not be conducive to a stable current relationship.
