Was planning on breaking up with someone but her cousin has just died. She's very upset. How much time should I give her before going through with the inevitable?

for a cousin? id rip off the band aid sooner than later. i know shes upset but this can drag out.
if shes able to work and maintain school than shes able to handle a break up.

Do it right fucking now. Nobody needs two tough blows like that back to back.

I was thinking a few weeks, up to a month, no longer.

I really couldn't do it now. She's not in a good way.

you already have your own answer than.

A few weeks is best. I did the same thing when my gfs cat died, she was messed up about that cat so I would have made things worse.

Then there's your answer retard
Break up with her. You aren't doing here any favors pretending to be happy with her any longer. For all you know weeks or a month from now she might be expecting your relationship to progress. You might be setting her up for even more disappointment. As someone who has had a woman threaten to kill herself when I was trying to break it off, just do it.

This actually. She's going to start relying on you emotionally more since she's bereaved, and you breaking up with her just as she's stabilizing on you is gonna crush her.
