I've got a deep voice. Everyone tells me this when I meet them, and when I talk to people I haven't spoken to since before puberty, they always comment on it. Too me, I don't like it. I can appreciate that it might be unique, but I absolutely despise listening to recordings of it, though I have gotten better about it recently.
My problem is that I believe people find it annoying. I have the opportunity to do part time radio work, but I don't know if I should, as I may be sacrificing my university degree for it.
I don't think it is one of those attractive deep voices that you often hear, but I wouldn't know.
What should I go about this? VO lessons? Ignore it? I've never asked someone for their opinion on my voice. I can record a vocaroo in a bit if it'll help.

I could go on and on about how it sounds bad cos I'm tired right now but I won't.

Sounds normal too me, nothing too extraordinary.

I don't think it comes through too well in recording.
Plus I'm strayan, so I'm compared to every other bogan cunt here, and I think most of them have voices that are nowhere near mine.
I have a deep voice as well that people often comment on.
A deep voice is NEVER annoying. EVER. However; it *can* be 'creepy' in the right situations. If you're not horrendously ugly though, it's usually a plus.

That's good to hear. I've never even considered myself being creepy, but I'm not ugly either, so I guess I shouldn't have to. In what situation would it be creepy?
get over it. no one cares aboout your voice. welcome to the real world.
Vocal lesson absolutely. I won't predict you show business succes, but it'll make you feel better for sure.
Also gives you something to hook girls with.
That radio stuff too, might be a start of a career. In that case courses/lessons are critical.
Whatever you do, good luck with it!
