in my experience it is only done by adults with children in their OWN family

and it is definitely a flirty/sexy thing to do with a partner.

But sitting on your friends lap is not innocent barring unforeseen circumstances that required it.

Context is because when she sits on my lap in public I understand that other people would feel akward about but she just can't see how sitting on me a guys lap is bad in anyway. Which I'm pretty sure she's lying but, idk have any of you seen partners sitting on each other's laps just cuz.

It is awesome. Of course it is a flirty thing. Shared personal space is always intimate. It is inappropriate if the sexual tension it creates is not desired. Don't do it with someone you would not kiss on the lips.

obviously it's flirty/cute. my wife's ass is too big for her to fit in my lap comfortably though. works best with petite girls.
