So I started a new twitch for me and my mates. Its kinda like a gaming/podcast channel. I was wondering if you guys had any idea how to get followers and had any clue on good video software. (free preferred)

either be gimmicky or be quality, and of course, wait. you might blow up overnight but that night might be years from now.
for most people its a steady rise.
ive been on youtube for 8 years. currently get 67 thousand views a month and the number is climbing. only have 6000 subscribers.
the first year i was happy when we broke 100 views. there were a few videos i did that made a jump but for the most part its just a matter of steadily rising.

So basically, be patient. It might take a year before we even get noticed.

iot might take many years. my audience is still too small to consider me a 'youtuber'. for some people its never enough. for others, just knowing that ANYONE is watching is all you need.
depends on WHY you are doing this.

Just somethin to try out with my mates. We always wanted to do a twitch but we always put it off. But now we wanna try just so people can listen to a bunch of bullshit problems that people can relate or watch games.

My buddy has gotten semi popular on twitch by playing games that only have a handful of streamers. So when he streamed we'd all join and give him 7-8 viewers which placed him near or at the top for that game. From there, people would watch him simply because he's at the top and over time he developed a modest following.
