I think porn has seriously ruined me. In moderation no doubt it's healthy, but I jack off to porn and porn only, at least once a day, and sometimes the porn I fap to is weird. Nothing illegal, just not what I would think of as normal porn, if there is such a thing. It's impacted my love life, I've had more than enough close calls of people seeing my internet history, and I'm pretty sure it contributed to my last relationship failing (pretty sure she had seen my rule34.paheal history and also I found it hard to get off without being in front of the computer jacking it)
How do I settle my shit down, anons? I just want to feel like a normal person.

Set limits to yourself, and do shit outside the house. The less time you spend in front of the computer, the less opportunity you'll have to fap. The more tired you re when you get home, the less energy you'll have to fap.

that's a good idea, thanks anon. My line of work (and unfortunately also most of my hobbies) involve computers, but when I'm home, it's usually in clothing that is extremely easy to masturbate in (either underwear or shorts or something of the sort)
It might be nice for my self esteem to dress better.

say I had a spare netbook, and that was the sole device I used for fapping, and I can ONLY fap using that device, and then made it extremely inconvenient to access that device (passwords, keeping it under my bed and the battery and charger in another room)

again, wear pants and a belt, as soon as you wake up, open your windows and get dressed. if you lack willpower, you either have to fight temptation and go cold turkey, or you have to develop habits that will shape your actions.

get fully dressed, even after a shower. put a belt on so that you are physically reminded that you are making a conscious decision to screw up. turn your tv on to a loud volume in the morning. stay active, cook meals, wash dishes, wash car, cut grass, etc.

nothing is guaranteed, but you can create habits that will shape you into something better than the unwanted.

Well here's something you should know about self control or willpower or whatever that things that allows you to fight your urges and do unpleasant things is:

It's like a muscle. It gets tired. If you use it all day at work forcing yourself to do boring, repetitive shit you'll have a harder time controlling your urges when you get home. But, if you didn't really have to use it at all and spent all your day chatting with friends and doing pleasant things it will be easier.

It also can be trained. If you force yourself to do things you don't feel like doing every day it will eventually become easier. But it can't be always the same thing, otherwise it will become an automatism (just like how you can't train your muscles by doing the same exercise all day every day)

And another thing. When willpower fails you can train yourself to act a certain way in certain events. For instance, for your fapping issue you should make a "routine" for when you feel like doing it. For instance, whenever you really feel like masturbating you could force yourself to do 10 push-ups instead. Think about it every time you get home or you start browsing the internet "Instead of fapping to fucked up shit, I'll do push ups".You should also put a memo on your monitor with it. It may sound silly, but it really helps with this kind of situations.

Willpower is one things you should training every day. You will failed and start again. Is not a big things to failed but don't failed to low.

The order things you have to understand is flapping affect your recompense system in you head. Is quick and easy to have this fun... So more you do flapping less you want do something else because your head is having already is fun. So you have to find things to do that you enjoy.
