I applied for a job on campus at my university last Friday. I haven't heard back yet, and I really want this job. There is no phone number for me to call and express my interest, would it be weird to go to the place and talk to the guy that does the hiring?
Not necessarily but if you have to ask here you most likely wouldn't pull it off.

wait until this Friday then go visit

I searched a little on the school's website and found the guy's extension, should I call now instead of going in person?

You'll drop spaghetti all over anyway you insecure fuck.

Yeah you're probably right, but might as well try! I'm gonna walk over there now and see how it goes.

Now that's the spirit.

It was a pretty weird, when I asked to see him the girls at the counter went back to get the guy but I guess he wouldn't (or didn't want to) come out. The girls said that he did the same thing to them when they applied. They had me fill out a different application form that was much more specific than the one I originally turned in.
I guess I have my foot in the door and have shown interest, but it seemed really strange that the guy wouldn't come out to see me. One of he girls there said it took 2 weeks from the time of their application to get an interview, so if I don't hear from him in a week then I'll apply elsewhere.

Businesses are fucking weird when they interview and hire people.
You did good. By actually showing up in person shows the business you are still interested. I wouldn't stop looking elsewhere though. Keep applying to different places. Make those fuckers come to you.
Better to have multiple options instead of waiting on just that one.
