Need some advice, /adv/
So my birthday is coming up. My girlfriend doesn't have a job and just stays at home with the dog. So money on her end is almost non existent.
Anyways, would it be inappropriate for me to buy something sexy for her to wear on my birthday as a gift to me? She doesn't have anything at all except for fairly normal underwear. She kind of has self esteem issues, even though her body is fine. The sex is kind of "eh" at the moment and doesn't happen very frequently either, and when we do, it's usually just missionary and cowgirl. So she's pretty modest. I wouldn't get her anything that makes her look like a trashy porn star, just something seductive.
Am I asking for trouble if I do this?

Personally I think it'd be sweeter and more sexy if you bought her lingerie for her own birthday and saying you wanted her to feel special. Saying you want to buy her lingerie for your birthday for her to wear sounds really douche-y. If you buy her lingerie for her to wear just for herself, she'll feel special and probably wat to wear it to show it off to you. Hope this makes sense.

I don't think that would go over so well. We hardly ever talk about sex. We're both extremely modest in that regard. I've always had girlfriends who led that front. This one, not so much, so I'm out of my field.

If you were to give it to her on her birthday and say something to the effect of, "I want you to feel as beautiful and sexy as you are to me" it'd probably go over a bit better.
