I need help!!! I am a regular weed smoker but something strange occurs, I have noted that this happens more with indica strains. When i smoke i have a strange habit, i bit my lip a lot, it is abnormal because i will bruise and tear the outer and inner layers of my lip. I feel pleasure while doing this, kinda like a tick, ive swollen my bottom lips badly and have scars because i dip so deep with my teeth, im currently stoned while typing this post and am chewing away i cant stop but it hurts so good, my lips looks red and purple and i taste blood on my tongue, i know its bad because people stare at scabs and torn/swollen lips. Is this normal? anyone else? here is the closest thing i could find, my lips after a long night of smoking and lip bittiing/muttilation

Wash your hands and mouth before and after smoking. Your skin is probably being irritated by smoke, heat, resin, and dryness. Wear lip balm.

try something that isn't indica and also maybe put something on your lips that would taste bad if you bit or licked them. if that doesn't help try biting a pencil or straw or something instead

never happened to me with weed, but I do pick at my lips often. Sometimes I do it and only stop once I have picked whatever dry/chapped lip skin is pickable or once I start bleeding a little. Then I just taste the blood.
It does bring me some amount of pleasure, and I've heard it's like a coping mechanism for anxiety. Sometimes I feel like I can't stop until I've gotten every piece of pickable skin left.
Only advice is to either quit smoking all together, don't smoke indicas, or try and replace that habit with something else.
