What should I do to get financially stable? I'm 22 and I consider myslef a blank slate. I can become anything. But what? What degree should I get that will help me in life? What will earn a decent amount of money?
I'm trying to look at my life positively and move forward but I don't know where to start. I already have a small casual job but I need a career for the long term.

Are you smart?
Yes -> Medicine.
No -> ICT
This is what I did coming from the same situation.
If you lack connections or opportunity, do some volunteering. I'm talking about local libraries, museums, youth centers, non-profit orgs. Do you like tech? Research local tech companies and start calling or emailing them. Don't be afraid to talk to people and ask to get involved. Worst case scenario is that they'll say no.
Find institutions like that. Try to get volunteer opportunities or internships. Prepare to have some disappointments or setbacks. Not everyone is going to have an opportunity for you.
Do you best to send out resumes and genuine cover letters. Focus on finding places that you think are cool then researching the best way to get in.
3 years ago I moved to a new town and today I have multiple career connections and employment opportunities. None of this would have happened without volunteer work.
IF you do get an opportunity and somewhere cool - don't waste it. Dress nice. Be friendly, respectful, and punctual. Smile. Be on the lookout for job openings, internships or anything you can use to increase your value for when that position opens up.
Good luck! :)

How "smart" do I have to be for Medicine? And I don't think I'd enjoy working in it but it'd look nice on my résumé.
Learn how to code. you're 22. if you get good at coding, you will always have a job.
