Formulating a persuasive email

For that kind of thing you're supposed to write why you deserve to be paid more, IE how you exceed the normal expectations of your job. Since I'm assuming this is all hypothetical, make some shit up. Like you take leadership roles when you work on projects, find solutions to problems that go beyond your job description, meet goals above and beyond your duties, etc

"Assume you have been working for a year at an industrial company. After the first year you discovered that you are paid less than others having similar duties or responsibilities. Write a letter to your manager and persuade him to raise you salary."

This was the scenario which i forgot to add.

I presume that we can take any role of the company basically. I thought like a sub manager role would suffice.

Something something "perform my duties up to par with my fellow coworkers and meet expectations in my role" then something about a competitive salary. In the real world if you're in the USA it's a (dumb) taboo to discuss your co-workers salary, so site posting for the same positions with a similar company as a reference for what you expect to be paid

Well, I'm situated in Sweden currently and if i ain't wrong about it, its encouraged to talk about salaries. I could use made up salaries as facts to support my claim, right?

How does this sound?

"Since my first day in office, my assigned department's outcome has increased by 10%, quarterly. The mood of my employees has become significantly better and we haven't had a serious accident in months. To keep these results to improve, I'd like to have a raise."

Yep, that sounds like what they're looking for. Basically a few sentences about how you perform your job duties on par or above with the other people in that position plus the research you did into what the position normally pay, then you said you have the rest covered

Also, due to my efforts in (something) the department has not had any significant breaches of safety for the bast (?) months. Also, through my efforts to (blah) I have noticed a increase in the overall moral of the department.
