I agree, as someone who has been there. Manual labor doesn't make you any better. If you're lazy and forced to work at something you hate but don't have the wherewithal to elevate yourself from, it just drives you crazy.

Holy shit this. I have a couple friends and roommates who did this and all they did was play with their ds/laptops and pause to pick up the phone. Worst any of them had to deal with was an angry blm supporter starting shit one time.

Also doing manual labor never "grew me the fuck up", but did make me a lot less useless in general.

I work at home doing call center work for numerous contractors.

I am often late to work by 15 minutes despite my bed being 5 feet away. No one cares though as I am the best agent they got and been doing this for 3 years. Getting a bit of a beer belly and my pancreas is starting to hurt i think but thats a product of my life after work not during.
