What do you really enjoy doing? Why are you at this job in the first place? If you could be at any other job that aligns with your values, what would it be?

My obsession is bicycles right now, but go read the forum replies that show up when you google "should I become a bicycle mechanic" and you'll see why that's off the cards.

All I really want is a job that helps people rather than just the company I work for, but most of those jobs require a high qualification and my attention span is too fried to even finish a book.

I work in broadcast and now that the internet exists, television is of little service to the community other than selling bullshit vibration fitness machines and grooming children for consumerism through manipulative advertising.

I want a job where I can serve the community or at least make a difference in other people's lives. That way I have a purpose at work other than selling my labor to buy food. Police or military sounds good for this but I don't want to be tied to the government, especially when politics is fairly backwater in my country.

Life my friend, life. I been sufferi g throgh the same job for almost 10 years. Imagine yourself doing that job for 10 years. I can go into a big talk about the economy and nepotism but the main reason i keep this job is because I am stubborn and i dont know when to quit. I grew up taught that quitting is for pussies. It is ingrained in me. However a couple buddies quit and got other jobs and seem happy even tho they are making less. I envy them but i cant ring myself to do it.

How do i deal with it? Easy. Its called a hobby. You need a hobby or hobbies rhat consume your life. If you sont have one your job and experiences at work consume you. If you have a hardcore hobby you just think about ALL the time work becomes just a boring activity tbag is quickly forgotten when you do your hobby. You even start thinking of your hobby at work making the day faster.

My hobbies are Brazilian jiu jitsu. Yoga. Hiking, guitar, beer making, cheese making, wood carving, hockey, music recordig and fishing.

Thats alot of hobbies right? How can i have time to think about my job when i do all of these?
