Black guy here.
For the majority of my life, most of my friends have always been a different race from me. While I personally dont mind, it seems odd as most people tend to have friends who are the same race as them.
Is my case a bad thing and if so, what should I do?

depends on your cultural background really.

I grew up in a wealthy suburb and majority of the people I ended meeting were white, even as Im in college right now.

Races tend to have their own cultures and cultures tend to stick to their own.

Maybe it's where I live, but very few people solely have friends who are the same race as them

I'm in the same situation blackboy. I have no middle eastern friends except family (had one but we kind of grew apart). All my friends now are white, hispanic and asian. Also this whole same race friend thing doesn't exist in some other countries and people don't care what race you are (this applies in some parts of Canada, I've been there). Just be happy you have any friends dude. Your post is pretty weird desu.

This.
OP I know that feel. Grew up as the white kid hanging out with a bunch of brown geeks, etc. I only really bonded with other whites when I dived into other hobbies/subcultures. So that's your ticket, i.e. try something new.

No man
Just bee yourself.
Statistically black people only make up 13% of the population, so statistically only 13% of your potential friends (on average) would be black, unless you live in a predominantly black neighborhood.
What's more important than the race of your friends is the way they treat people, what their intentions are, etc. Your friends' character says a lot about you.
Just be a good person. Treat everyone with brotherly love. We're all in it together.
I'm a white guy in Japan with no white friends outside of work.
It never bothers me. I'd rather spend time with qt Japanese girls
