I was on FB and I was going through some of the really inappropriate pages looking for fap material.
While scrolling down I accidentally clicked like on one such pic.
I realised it and unliked it at the same moment.
It didn't show up in my activity log and I am not sure if people from my friendlist saw what I liked.

I deactivated my profile within 5 minutes.
Am I screwed or I did fine?
Will that be visible on peoples timeline or right side log thing above chat window?

alright you gotta tell us, what was it?

>deleting your profile
Man, everyone looks through facebook photos with their dicks out. It really isn't important if some people on the internet think that you're creepy. They will have all forgotten by the time you die.

Lesbians, Asians and stuff

It is weird as I am a politician and I have about 15000 followers except friends.
That makes it an issue.

>politician
This makes me interested.

Im going to derail the thread right now.

How did you make it? What exactly did you do to become a politician?

Im 21, experience in my local government as a researcher, but I yearn to become a politician, at least in some form, local, provincial or federal.

Anyway, besides the obvious -- volunteering for local political party -- what else can I do to become one?
>>
If anyone calls you out on it just say that you were scrolling on your phone and it was in your feed because someone you know liked it and while attempting to scroll past it you accidently hit like instead of scrolling down
>>
>>17953858
I will advice you to keep going on this path but it is still too early for you to get into the mainstream politics as you are just 21 at this moment.

You said you have been part of your local government. Try growing this network if you can. Are you in United States or somewhere else? Get in touch with higher ups. Contact their PA's.

Another easier approach will be to get a Masters Degree. Politicians like to have these people with them, so they can put them on different committees.

Stay in these committees for few years then once your name goes around and your network is big enough that you know most big fishes in your state you can push yourself into mainstream politics.

This is literally my biggest fear. Some porn sites have like/share etc buttons all over the place for some fucking reason. I often visit it on my shitty phone and all it would take is a single misclick to literally ruin my life. Social suicide

OK, thanks for the information. Im in Canada.

Ya, I got my foot in the door while doing a pilot research project, but I only have a BA. Anyway, is it possible to sit in during council meetings? Or would that appear weird if I'm not part of the in-group?

I know I'm a bit young, but I do want to build my way toward it so when I hit my 30s, and when its' more acceptable to run, I'll already have that network in place -- I guess it's just about timing.

Where are you located? I'd like to keep in touch, if at all possible. I need a mentor of sorts.

For your problem, I would sweat it. I doubt anyone saw if there hasn't been screenshots or comments as of yet. Mind you, I would say it wasn't the smartest of ideas to use fb for porn lol

you definitely didnt need to deactivate your account. I'd think a plausible excuse might be good -- ie, hacked or something idk or maybe something more believable.

If you're that worried about your career over some accidental like, you could pin it on some chump that works for you, something along the lines of "my intern was writing a PSA but was inappropriately using my account"

idk man

BA is actually a good degree for getting into these things. If you are working, you can do some distance course and get an MA degree.

Attend their meetings. I don't know much about the political scenario in Canada but the parties usually have left or right wing ideologies.

Do some research and see if you fit well in any of their ideologies and you can join their parties.

Attend their meetings to, and be sure to answer the right questions. The old guys love it and they will give you proper attention too.

Also if you guys have any political issues and you are part of opposition and if you consider yourself a good speaker, try leading a protest someday. Good way to get attention.

If something like this is visible on my wall I am done.
I hope deactivating worked. I have no way to verify it as asking anyone else will sound suspicious.

Thank you, I appreciate your answers. I never thought of being a political advocate for something. Honestly, I'm quite conservative, and I know all about sort of ideology I agree with. In fact, my BA is in political science. I mean, I'm quite informed about all the processes, except the actual specifics about getting into the politics. Anyway, would it be a good idea to work for the Liberals, in spite of my being a Conservative? I mean, my default is conservative, that's how I was raised and how I am, but I know if I want a political career in Canada, I'll have to be quite liberal, or at least appear to be liberal. Would this be a smart sacrifice?

I mean, Im pretty non partisan when it comes to my actual work, but I want a successful career, and where Im situated, it's quite liberal as it is
>>
>>17953956
That's a general approach.
80% People under 30 are having liberal thought process so it is easier to gather their support.
And under that mask you can easily push this agenda.
I am in my early 30's so even I have a long way to go. But once you have grown big enough, you will have other people to push your agenda under mask of anything else. So it works out well anyhow.

>tfw I want to share a porn video on Facebook just because the reaction I'll get would be funny
my logic says this is a devastating idea
>>
>>17953956
My teacher was a politician, and I've met a few. It seems like if you just toe the line and you're generally agreeable it's a cake-walk. There's a huge lack of competent people, for obvious reasons.
>>
>>17954066
Depends on what video it is and who your friends are. I could probably share some fucked up kinky fetish porn and my friends would think its funny. Fucked up, but chuckle-worthy.
