Did my boyfriend really wanna break up sith me or pretend to?
We've been fighting for a while. Long story. But recently he flipped out bc I calmly asked him a question and threw his phone across the room smashed the screen and left me in the middle of the night crying . I first apologized and then later I was mad for how he treated me. He said sorry and he doesn't wanna lose me and wants to be with me, but I was still mad and acted distant. He called me a couple hours later and said I think we should break up. I started crying and asking why and saying I'm sorry and he addressed tons of things he doesn't like about me and I said I'm sorry and I can try to fix it and he said okay he we can try to work it out we deserve another chance. He said sorrry he said he was gonna break up with me but he needs a lot more from me.
I'm just curious if he pussied out of breaking up with me or if he just wanted the power in the relationship again and knew I would act like that if he broke up?
I feel really hurt I've been crying hysterically all day

Anyway I think you're right that it's a power thing. My ex did it a lot of times. I'd recommend breaking up, he doesn't sound like a great guy anyway.
