Keeping Internet history private

Most people probably won't be able to do much more than look at your history; IT technicians are such may be able to look through your search engine cookies, so you should clear those (but I think Incognito mode doesn't allow cookies to track your activity). Your ISP will always be able to see what sites you visit, but they don't hold your history for that long since it would take too much data.

Fuckwit. Home routers don't keep a searchable goddamn history of all the webpages visited through it. That's only if someone has activated some really hard-out parental controls via an extra piece of gateway hardware, or software at the ISP level. The extent of ~95% of home routers' parental controls is just URL/domain blocking, and Time-Of-Day limits.


OP, what is the device that you want to browse privately on? A phone or a laptop/PC etc?

Also, do your parents actively use or check the devices you use (for example, a shared computer, etc)

Also, post the model of your router; I should be able to find if you have anything to worry about in terms of router-logs.
