I'm not clinically depressed so I can at least be helped.
I have tried exercising, getting into relationships etc, but every time they seem to go wrong and it simply makes me worse.
I exercise 4 times a week, I go out fairly often, I have hobbies etc but I still don't feel better.
Is there anything I can do?

Well if those activities aren't stimulating have you tried also volunteering? From the local homeless shelter to an old folks home? They would love to give advice on living in sure. Also talking to a psychologist might help. It doesn't mean you need meds but perhaps you can get to the root of the problem. What is really keeping you stuck. Good luck!

Thanks, I'm looking at going to a psychotherapist because I don't think I can do this myself.

If it is dietary based: Eat better. Especially take care you get enough Magnesium, Zink, Vitamin C and Biotin.
If it is psychology based: Buy "How to deal with CBT for dummies" and follow it's instructions to the letter. If that doesn't help, get professional therapy.

I second volunteering. Looking into religion might help as well.
What do you do for a living? And what is the work environment there like? Your job could be having a negative impact on your life.
