I've always done this, idk but it started when I was a kid and never stopped, I like to think it helps boost my immune system. But I also know the social stigma attached to it. This is why I wait and try to do it in the bathroom by myself, also some people like me get bad allergies and if I don't clean my nose out its hard as fuck to breath and after getting the chance to free the airways i can breathe so much easier. As for the eating... Yea it's gross but I guess you just get used to it I can't really explain it's more of a mental fix I guess. But Yea if she isn't totally retarded she's knows it's gross and may not hide it so much around you cause they are comfortable around you. The most subtle thing I would think would be to ask if they need to use the restroom when you catch them, and maybe they will get the point

Just tell her about it if its bothering you THAT much when you notice her doing it. If not then just deal with it.

Just one thing though. Will her feelings be hurt? More than likely. She might feel a bit self conscious about it for a while after. But it will (hopefully) pass.

Just make sure you explain to her that its understandable why she does what she does and that you don't think she's a gross person for it. This part is super important, otherwise she might feel like a gross person for a long while after.
