Any electricians on here? I pluged my radio and power bar into this socket and I'm unsure if it's safe to use or not? I've been getting shocked on occasion by my computer when I touch it which is connected to the power bar.

Do the cords slip out after being plugged in?

No, the socket just hangs out a bit past the wall. I can never see any wires

Just realised that wasn't what you asked lmao. No the cords stay in just fine
>>
Well that's good. So, what's probably happened is the fastening below the cover is loose. But what's weird, is from that picture I can't even see the fastener, with it that far out should be able to see it. Is there nothing below the plate holding the actual outlet to the wall? Looks like some corners were cut.

Just took these two pictures. The one on the left is the bottom. Which seems to be much more sturdy than the top

Ok, so first make sure you kill the power to that outlet unless you want to get electrocuted. Verify there is no power to the outlet. Then remove the cover plate.

Next, you're gonna try to screw the screw back in. If it feels too loose give up. The easy fix generally is getting a slightly longer screw of the same size and try to screw that in.

I'll try that. Appreciate it anon
