Is porn actually bad for you?
The question isn't is porn bad for you, the question is porn bad for YOU? Only you can answer that, and you lying to yourself. For me, porn is bad because it turns me into an insecure recluse.

*You'll know if you're lying to yourself, not "you lying to yourself"
Yes.
It is for me anyway. Porn has ruined my life in many ways. So I stop watching for a huge chunk of time, have a weak moment now n then, watch a video or browse some stupid app. Meh.. more harm than good.

I've stopped watching for a long time, just yesterday I had a weak day. Not having a gf is what drives me to it really. Years of being alone.
Porn is sexual fast food.

whores
Yes it is. Aside from le meme advice, and looking at basic science, yes, yes it fucking is.
You condition your brain that you are able to find thousands of women with little effort. So your brain adapts and tells you that you don't need to improve at all, you get social anxiety etc.
Think about it. Is it natural to have access to thousands of girls, more than all your ancestors have seen in total together, in a single click? Of course not. Most of your ancestors probably saw 10-15 girls during their entire life time, porn is shit for u bro.
It also fucks your reward dopamine system up.
But I should stop giving guys this advice, by letting them know shit like this I'm just creating greater competition for myself.
>TL;DR: Absolutely, yes.
Don't listen to the nofap broscience dopamine crap anon.
Porn is not the cause of depression and anxiety, it's the symptom. You're not finding happiness in your daily life, and porn offers the momentary, quick, easy pleasure you so desperately need. If you're feeling depressed and unmotivated, why would you want to put all your effort in blocking out porn, the one thing that makes you feel good?
Instead, you need to focus on solving the issues that make you watch so much porn in the first place. Go out more often, meet people, get busy with projects, anything works - painting, building, sculpting, picking up a new skill, writing. There are so many ways to be productive and keep yourself busy, and you can meet new people along the way. The weeks when I work out, go out with friends or people I know, and keep myself busy with things that interest me and engage me, I literally do not feel any need to watch porn or jack off. When I'm alone at home feeling sad and depressed and need something to help me feel good, even if it's just for a few minutes? Guess what I do.
