basically you're limited to rinses and trying to get them out with a toothbrush. If rinses don't help I'd go to a dentist or doctor. I can't imagine it would be a good idea to try to pull one out yourself, especially if it is large.
How long has it been a problem?
Are your tonsils noticeably large at the back of your throat? Can you easily push out the white stones?
I suffered from horrible tonsil stones for over a year, I eventually had my tonsils removed because the infection didn't respond to antibiotics or as many baking soda mouthwahes as I could handle a day.
Worst pain in my entire life, I was absolutely miserable and under an ungodly amount of painkillers for two weeks, but I feel a thousand times better now that I don't have rancid smelling white clumps stuck in my throat.
Hey I get these all the time. I've found that avoiding soft cheeses and ice cream helps. I also gargle with warm salt water rinses every now and then too. It's annoying but manageable.
I've had to pluck them out once.
I bought a mechanics endoscope and used some Q-Tips to guide it out.
I used to get these all the time but when I started using mouthwash daily they stopped. When I got them I could pick them out with my tongue which was fun (similar to popping a pimple)

Thats fucking rad. How do I attract all those worms like that?
Use the narrow, pick end of one of those little flossers to get them out. Be careful though, those things can be really sharp and tonsils are fragile. Might have to dull the tip down a bit.
I just use a q tip and gently press off to the side of them. They come out fairly easily. I don't get them too often though.
Anti biotics or get tonsils removed
Clean your mouth often
I had them once when I was super sick with mono, so sick that I just slept all day every day for like a week, so I think they formed because of the bacteria in my mouth. I took anti biotics (penicilin) and I made an effort to brush my teeth often, and I haven't had them since.
