OP, if you know for a fact that he's a pedophile, you can easily do some things with his personal information. Without proof, you can't have him outright arrested, but you can send in an anonymous tip (and have others send in reports, as well), or try and track down people who may know him (family, friends, etc) on FB or something and let them know so they'll keep a closer eye on him and possibly report him. Alternatively, you can just be petty and do some /b/-tier "send hundreds of pizzas" shit if that will cure your need for "redemption".
Also, this is a bit trickier because connecting with him in a way that would get him to open up would be hard, but depending on the laws in your area, you may be able to get him to talk about the things he's done while recording the conversation, or taking screencaps (if you choose to e-mail him). That can be used as evidence later on. Make sure to look up any possible legal ramifications in your area of such a thing, though, or the evidence could be thrown out.
