I guess it's not actually a love triangle. But sort of. So I used to be friends with this couple, they broke up a couple years ago, but I'm still friends with each of them. The guy and are good friends from high school, and I made friends with his girlfriend by default. The three of us hung out a lot. The whole time we were all friends, the guy was really trusting of me and didn't mind that I would sometimes hang out with her alone at their house. There were times where her and I would lay in the same bed fall asleep together as we watched movies. We never did anything, I respected my friend and their relationship too much. Don't get me wrong though, I definitely would.
Now here's my dilemma. They broke up and I'm still friends with both of them. They both know I still hang out with each of them. She's in another relationship now, with a guy that was the reason for their breakup. But one day we had this conversation: i asked her

there's more to it, I then asked her if I could kiss her, to which she agreed to, but my logic got the best of me and I reasoned myself out of it for the sake of my friend, which I explained to her, but she said she wouldn't mind.
but basically I know there's definitely potential for us to fuck.
So do I fuck her? I respect my guy friend and I wouldn't want to "betray" him. We're all adults, we should all be able to do whatever we want. But at the same time I wouldn't want to possibly ruin a good friendship over some pussy, considering he may find out and resent me for it.
Would it be weird if I at least ran it by my friend to see what he thinks? Is it even worth it? Idk. Your thoughts /adv/?

How long were your friends together for? Two years apart is a good amount of time, but personally I would be pissed if my good friend fucked my ex. You should not tell him anything. If you fuck her, don't let him know. Don't ask him about it either.

I only asked her because I didn't want to infringe on her current relationship unless she wanted to.
And like I said there was more to it. She originally said something along the lines of "idk it'd be kind of weird".
She then later changed her mind and said told me I could kiss her, but by then I had already went thought the cycle of thinking whether or not it was worth it.

I think its weird that instead of just pursuing any other girl you want to pursue the one that could potentially explode your life and friendships into a shit-storm of drama.
I dunno why you insist on involving yourself in this unstable situation or why you think its worth it to potential piss off and upset so many people over the faint possibility of getting sex.
