At a Christmas party I held the baby of my boyfriends cousin (2 year relationship).

While holding it I kissed the baby on the top of the head. I didnt think about it. (Mid 20 female myself)

After a bit the mother took her away and didnt seem too upset but i got to thinking maybe i crossed a line. Most mothers don't want people kissing baby on the lips, but what about the head?

How would you feel if someone you were a little familiar with did this? Should i apologise or just keep it in mind for next time?

You're all good! Top of head baby kissing is totally fine and normal. It would be more alarming if the parents had an issue with it.
