Is it normal to be afraid of the police if you haven't done anything wrong?
I work for my family business. Because of this business we frequently work with the police and I regularly see them in and around my work. My brother is even used to be an E-7 MP (military police).
But I get very nervous around them. Like I stutter, sweat, and shake nervously. Especially my hands when we shake hands my hands are almost dripping with sweat (I'm not exaggerating).
It's so embarrassing, I think half the sheriff's office thinks I'm retarded
Why?
Literally the biggest crime I have committed is tinting my car's window's dark and they all know what I drive and have never said anything about it....

its common. its kind of like when you're just hanging outside as a kid and a parent comes out and is just looking at you. you're not doing something wrong, but you're nervous about messing up or being accused of something you didn't do. especially with all the shit we see on the news about cops.

Like a bad pitbull or crazy girlfriend, it only takes one bad cop to ruin your life. You should have a healthy fear of them the way you would a loaded gun.

That's definitely not normal, no.

You clearly overreact and should probably visit a therapist but fear of police is pretty logical in shitholes like US of A, even if you're white. The standard to become an officer is ridiculously low and having a potential idiot with a weapon and authority is just scary. Back in East Europe I was pretty wary of the police too, even though personally I only had positive experience with corrupt cops due being friends with them/their family. Now in West Europe I don't even pay attention to them anymore than a random faggot doing his/her job, since they are competent and not a potential ruined day.
