So there's a good possibility I won't be attending college for my spring semester since my grades were shit, I'm considering the following for alternative careers: 1. Join the Navy 2. Work in an oilfield in North Dakota or elsewhere is the US or 3. Get a welding license and become a boilermaker or pipe-welder. What is the best option and why?
Already in college or graduating high school

All aren't bad options. Just keep in mind that the oilfield stuff is extremely volatile and if you are shit with money unsustainable. As you should know recently oil hit shit levels and lay offs out the ass.
Go work in the oilfield, make some good money and rat-hole it. Take the time to decide what you want to do. I worked as a contractor for a year for a refinery. Realized what I wanted to do in college. Made good money, saved a bunch. Paid for most of the rest of my college.

I think a carpenter license is your best call.
