Pretty much. Mental strength always tops physical strength in most cases. If you have both, it's just a bonus. But in my opinion, real alpha attitude comes from love, not hate. As some one who works out religiously and lifts 1/2/3/3.5 plate on OHP/BP/Squat/DL, I have spent enough time in the gym to know most people are just in there for a hobby. Not because they are so macho and manly. People who don't lift somehow think the moment you start loftong some part of your brain wakes up and you become a different person entirely. You stay you, you just are healthier and feel better about your body when you compare it to nonlifters. Doesn't make you Brad Pritt. You'll always feel a little insecure about your body when around other lifters, because you will always find people who can lift more and look better than you.

Being alpha is entirely a state of mind. Think of your father from Fallout 3, James. Smart, capable, and can barely fire a gun, but he was certainly alpha. Think of everything he did in that game, before and after you were born. Alpha is acting mature, accepting responsibility, and handling it well.
