got braces yesterday, and its fucken shitty. my teeth hurt so

I know your pain OP. It will subside with time.. until you have to go back and get them tightened again. The cycle of pain will continue until they're off for good, and unfortunately there isn't much you can do about it except take pain killers and eat soft foods :/

It's temporary, I only felt not pain but more like a slight disagreement only for like a week everytime you get them tightened up.
If it hurts so much that you need pain killers like >>17863280 , then you can ask your dentist to relax them. Or it's because you're just a pussy

The first two weeks are the absolute worst. It gets 100x better after that though, just power through it.

People say the tightening makes it worse, but it only creates a small annoyance of pain for a few hours at most, then it's unnoticeable again.

You're going to have great and beautiful teeth if you take care of yourself and that's something that will save you money and a lot of pain down the road, as well as bump up your physical attraction.
