I started off life working manual blue collar jobs from a young age as the son of a farmer. I realised pretty soon on was I wasn't cut out for it because I was 'too posh' or outspoken or I came up with ideas, had dreams and goals or just whatever. I wasn't designed for small town minds and ideas.

What I see the major problem for women with guys working these kind of jobs is that they potentially close your minds to so much of the world and that is unattractive. You are surrounded with practical hands on people who work long hours in physically demanding roles. You get a lot of basic donkey work and hard bosses. You don't stretch yourself intellectually and you don't look to see the world and meet intellectual people with different opinions. As a defence mechanism you decide that what you can't have, due to time or money is basically stupid and frivolous and so all these doors close, you strip your life down to the practical basics because you need to, moulded by your environment.

Women, enjoying the peak of their value, deciding between education, careers, travel, raising a family etc will most likely not seek out small town minds and ideas before a certain age.

Don't get me wrong, later on, these guys can make comparative bank compared to the struggling artist or the forever on the cusp on something types. But while you are looking to experience life, you'll seek different attributes.

Like I'd get made fun of for eating with cutlery. Because 'real men' eat with their hands and disregard anything fancy requiring cutlery.
