Is there any reason an adult male shouldn't freeze their sperm and get a vasectomy? No pregnancy scares, no gf would ever worry about hormone stuff, and it wouldn't close the door on children.
It just occurred to me today that this was an option, and I'm wondering about talking to my doctor about it after next term. I'm a nineteen year old male and still a khv, so this would very much be a preemptive measure, but I can't see any real disadvantage to it, and plenty to gain. From a quick search it looks like the cost of keeping it frozen is only $2-3K a decade, and I can afford the procedure itself.
Is this a good idea? Thoughts?

That's all well and good until an ex sues you claiming you are denying your future children their inheritance
No doctor's going to give a 19 year old a vasectomy.
Plus there's no guarantee that your sperm WILL be safe. There have been cases where something's gone wrong and people's sperm/eggs have been destroyed

Yeah, sperm bank might fuck it up and give your wife someone else's sperm. Plus it feels good to walk around with the power to impregnate women.

Vasectomies make your balls explode. The rate of moderate to severe side effects (e.g. constantly ballaches, regrowth/reconnection/recapture of the vas making you fertile again, etc) is over 50%. Do your research before considering this stuff.
