How do I make friends in a new city? I'm on 4chan so obviously I'm not the most social person, but would still like to have a few m8s to do shit with like go to sporting events, out for a drink, or to go fishing with, etc. I know there are onling dating sites but I'm not really looking for a serious relationship. I get along with co-workers, but work in the trades so most of them are knuckle-dragging hillbillies who I don't care to be involved with outside of work.

If you are in NYC, there are usually lots of tourists and students chilling at the square parks, just go and start talking to some of them, or join meetup and go to show viewing parties or whatever youre interested in.

I'm interested in this too. I'm potentially moving to NYC soon and the one thing that I'm most deathly afraid of is not having any friends, when I'm so used to having my pick of anyone to hang out with in my city right now.

I don't really have a "hobby" that defines me, I like to drink, explore, and get into adventures.
