Any advice on how I broach the topic without losing potential of her as friend because we share social circles so I'll definitely be seeing her again and don't want it to be awkward.

You're shy and inhibited, obviously. So start with just a hug the next time you see her. Kiss her the next time. Go from there. Iktf. But it works ok on girls who are also shy, or who at least tolerate it. It's a good sign of being unlikely to cheat also.

This sounds exactly like what I'm going through right now except you're much further in then I am. At your point however it's pretty clear man, next time you see her and there is any kind of leaning on each other just go for the kiss.
With me we met at a party, she asked for my snapchat, she snaps me every day but it's hard to tell if it's to all her friends or just me. Hoping to get to your point soon enough, the girl just seems really shy.
