I guess he's not. He can just be really rude sometimes with the way I parent. I brush it off though since I pay for everything and put all my effort into our daughter. I know it's my fault for taking on the responsibility and it's difficult but I'm trying to make up for my actions now. Am I wrong for wanting child support?

If you're really a hard working mother who pays for everything then yes, you deserve child support. A lot of people are just cautious at first when dealing with this because typically women who beg for child support are trashy. Try to talk to the father again, be as reasonable as possible and don't seem dramatic. I feel like you can make him realize this is something he wants to do, just my assumption based off the fact that he still wants to see her. But fuck, two months is a long time.

This is a court thing not something you ask for. They will want a paternity test and then you will need to take legal action. Child support isn't something you just ask him for. A court will determine how much he owes you and the marines will make him pay out or he will lose his job. And yes, if he went so far as to sign the birth certificate you should pursue child support. You might be able to afford a babysitter and go back to school.
