What are some good remedies for pimples and acne, especially while you're a teenager? Also, what are some ways that you can avoid them as a whole?
Ask your doctor for something called zineryt.
I used to use it often when I needed it and now only use it every now and again for new acne breakouts. Once you get it down it gets easier to manage. I'm almost 100% spot free now!

if your acne is really bad, then it can be hard to beat it.
pic related is me before and after isotretinoin. its a cream that kinda just peels the acne right off. its literally just a high dose of vitamin A to the skin.
however if your skin is sensitive you still spend your whole day washing and moisturizing and applying and eating right and trying not to touch it ti avoid acne. it sucks.
so i took tretinoin, which is isotretinoin but you ingest it in the mouth. you probably know it as 'accutane'.
i took it for 3 months and have had no problems isnce then, i look like the 'after' pic all the time now.

ya accutane is definitely a "last resort" drug because it can have severe side effects
do internet search etc

i never said it wasn't.
in fact, it was LITERALLY my last resort. i researched it on and off for ten years before i finally said 'fuck it, nothing else works' and did it.
the side effects are few and far between and extremely rare.
Op here,
What about for some light to moderate problems? My main problem is that my pores become plugged with God knows what (what seems like fat), or in other words something similar to blackheads
see a doctor, preferably a dermatologist but your family Dr. would work too
>have your Dr evaluate you to see if you need meds for your acne
>wash your face every day and every night
>if your face dries out from this, either scale back to once a day or switch soaps
>use a lotion with a light spf factor and a moisturizer
>clean pillow case or a towel over your pillow every night
>stop touching your face during the day
that should cut back most of your acne

Proper hygiene
If you have pimples like this, you don't have proper hygiene, so don't try and say you do.
Hygiene goes beyond a daily shower. It's how often you wash your sheets, clothes, hair, towels etc.
Learn how to clean yourself properly.
Literally 95% of the population does not know proper hygiene.
